Additional information on canon relationships can also be found in Alexander’s extended biography. Bit of some spoiler warnings in these but, hey, that’s a given. These are a mixture of the relationships Alexander has with the characters of Nautilus insofar, as well as some additional names that might be dropped during interactions with others. Given that it’s an original character, I try to be both vague and as detailed as possible when doing this.

CANON
In my time of dying... don’t want nobody to mourn.
All I want for you to do is take my body home.

Breña Moss (DECEASED) - Mother. The way she died, they said it was suicide. However, Alexander and Dominick strictly remember it differently. After her death, her sons, Marcus and Dominick, were cared for by her sister, Mary.

Marcus Wolfgang (DECEASED) - Father. A harsh, military leader type, almost to an abusive extent. He cared about his family; however he didn’t know how to express it. Not long after Breña died, he committed suicide.

Mary Moss (DECEASED) - Aunt, and sister of Breña Moss. Raised Dominick after the death of her sister and brother in-law, and Alexander disappeared from the hospital after the accident. For a long time she was in charge of the Delial Park Mental Institution, before retiring and handing the place over to her nephew.

Marcus “Junior” Wolfgang (ALIVE) - Eldest brother and head director of Delial Park. He pursued his younger brother after hearing of his involvement of the riots taking place in Ophelia. For nearly two years he pumped Alexander full of hallucinogens to make him forget things and keep him within their care at the facility, until Alexander held him up with a stun gun and made off with his Jetta. Marcus is still pissed off about that.

Dominick Wolfgang (DECEASED) - Older brother and the middle child of the three Wolfgang sons, and tried to take care of Alexander before he disappeared at the age of nine. Dominick joined the Navy as a field medic, and was discharged due to accidentally killing a man in friendly fire. However, their ship had suddenly been attacked, and Dominick was one of the few survivors who were captured; had his legs cut off in the process of torture. He’s now supported as a former prisoner of war. Married, divorce, gained custody of his step-niece, Nichole. Now works wheelchair-bounded as a coroner. Despite everything, Dominick is probably the most stable of the three brothers.

Nichole Wolfgang (ALIVE) - Niece. Her mother also turned out to be an addict and attempted to sell Nicky off to human trafficking for drug money. Alexander wasn’t too pleased about that. In spite of things, she’s a sweet kid, and Alexander grew quickly fond of her.

Hunter Wolfgang (UNKNOWN) - Ancestor of the Wolfgang family line from the sixteenth century, long, long before Alexander’s time. Yet somehow he’s still alive as an immortal. He supposedly “works” for Them, who have kept him alive all these centuries.

John “Johnny” Jerusalem (DECEASED) - Friend/Worst enemy. Died at the age of thirty, and was brought back by Them. Forced to care for Alexander, whilst taking on the act of a father figure for the boy while growing up, which was not a job he was cut out for. His life had been extended and granted certain abilities in exchange for his freedom. Jerusalem became a much-feared figure in Ophelia. He spent over fifty years working on bringing about the downfall of the Ophelia government before finally taking over the city and making it his own personal playground.

Leon (DECEASED) and Marie Mageau (UNKNOWN) - Friends; fraternal twin brother and sister. Children of convicts, they spent their first few years in the basins, where they had been repeatedly abused both physically and sexually. A missionary rescued them, but died after taking them to Third Hope. They were then taken in by Johnny Jerusalem, and reeled Alexander out of the hospital when he was nine. Marie cannot function without her brother. When Leon was killed, Marie went insane. The only thing keeping her from turning into a rabid dog is Jerusalem.

Reene Gunn (DECEASED) - Girlfriend. Alexander met Reene in college during a philosophy and literature course, during his journalism studies. She became very sick, and he started taking care of her. The nature of her death was a mystery because Alexander had blocked the memory of it almost entirely. Jerusalem, in his final moments, helped refresh that memory... much to Alexander’s horror.

Feng Gunn (DECEASED) - Reene’s adopted father. At first he and Alexander didn’t have a very... friendly relationship. In fact, Feng berated and later beat the crap out of Alexander in front of the classroom. However, when he started dating his daughter Feng reluctantly started to accept him and even gave him a not-so welcoming parting gift. He died eight years ago when his store exploded.

Ravine (UNKNOWN) - Death, also known as Judith. Alexander’s life was already hellish, and then this bitch had to come along and make things even worse. Or that’s how he feels, anyway. Really, he developed a close attachment to Ravine, like she was the only one he could really trust anymore. He doesn’t know much about her since she never talked about herself much, but found out that her original name had been Judith. The last he saw of her was eight years ago, when she put a gun to her head and blew her brains out in front of him. Who knew that death could die?

Vincent Spiker (ALIVE) - Kind of a friend, and Ravine’s younger brother. Unlike Ravine, he doesn’t remember anything about his past at all, except that Ravine used to call him Shad. Vincent helped Alexander escape Delial Park when Marcus had been pumping him full of drugs, and the two had become friends. Alexander doesn’t know what happened to him afterwards.

Angelo Montesino (DECEASED) - Friend, or at least as much of a friend as you can get out of a one-armed, one-eyed mute with a terminal illness. Angelo proved to be a great deal of help and unfortunately met his end in a very brutal fashion. This isn’t something Alexander will want to talk about. Angelo was a good guy.

Mohammed Zayn Al Dalharni (ALIVE) - Friend and fellow patient while at Delial Park, as he had been committed himself for attempted suicide and manic depression. Zayn helped ground Alexander to reality during his hellish time in that facility. Zayn was released before Alexander’s escape. He now runs a bar, The Oleander, in a small town neighboring Larkspur, Louisiana.
